Garbage and sewage

A major concern is with waste and sewage. All houses in Caraiva have septic tanks and nothing is thrown into the river. Composting organic waste is also a common practice, as is recycling various materials.

Caraíva thus manages to remain in a different state from other Villas and tourist cities. Nature preserved, trash care and awareness of natives and visitors about the importance of preserving the place.

When you get here, remember this and help doing this paradise to continue delighting many other generations.

Aware tourism

It is important for visitors to be aware of the importance of these areas and to collaborate on their maintenance.

For tourism in the region to be sustainable, actions that may impact on the region’s flora, fauna and marine life must be avoided as much as possible.

Wherever you go to the beach, or to the reserve area, carry a bag with you in order to take your wastings back.

In the village or in the inns, you will find the right final destination for your wastings.
